Pretty groovy gig, eh?
During the Clinton administration, the top pay for a White House staffer was around $125,000 per year. When the Bush administration came to town in 2001, the top pay grade was moved to $140,000 per year.
Now, in six short years that have seen the earnings of Americans in steady decline, the top pay for a White House staffer has skyrocketed to $168,000 - almost a thirty thousand buck raise. Sweet! How many of the lowly proles here have seen such a nice increase in pay during the Bush years? Not me!
Dig deep, taxpayers - your government is workin' hard to screw you over and mama needs new shoes...
And these are the people who oppose raising the minimum wage.
