1. If I was the Incident Commander, no
it is a hard one, but my answer to that one would be NO

Too many people have been lost already

Thankfully I'm not the Incident Commander

Of course I am looking at this with great distance and no real knowledge of the situation on the ground.

5. Time To Seal It
Not quite how I had this playing out...tragically. I felt Murray would wait out the cameras...stall for time and then seal the mine, the miners and the secrets as to why the mine collapsed. Now we have 3 dead miners, 9 more injured and the 6 inside haven't had fresh food or water for nearly 2 weeks now...as well as cold, damp conditions that could lead to hypothermia. Now it's back to square one and then some...and the safety of that mine is more dangerous.

Maybe now the corporate media may do the right thing...enough of the Bob Murray show! They've been played and now more people have died...all to cover Murray's sorry ass and his decrepit mining operations.

Too bad the person who ultimately is responsible to investigate this mess will be Mitch McConnell's wife...one who Murray bragged he had very close relations with.

Meanwile the coal and oil money manipulates the corporate media...again.

6. A number of rescuers refused to participate two days ago.

I bet they are feeling some relief now not guilt for refusing. They had the courage to say no when they felt that their lives were in great danger. I think those underground are dead. Is it worth risking more lives to see if they are alive? I don't think so. I am glad that I don't have to make that decision. If it is decided not to go forward there will always be the question of what if those guys were still alive.

9. The State Needs To Step In Now
Enough is enough. This owner is unaccountable and his ego and profits have led to 3 deaths tonight. The other day he all but called the 12 miners who walked away as cowards...and kept saying how safe things were. Tonight I heard the families were at a picnic "sponsored by an oil company"...still sequestered by the company. While we can't open this mine, we sure can into the operations of this company and its long record of union busting, safety violations and other abuses.

Unfortunately, Murray has every politician in that state bought off, too.
