Man Smuggles Monkey On Airplane Under His Hat
Great. Now homeland security is going to get involved - and I'll have to start putting my monkeys in my luggage when I fly.

1. He can watch over the guns...
I saw my wife off at the airport a few weeks ago, and I saw the "All firearms must be confined to checked in luggage" signs and nearly doubled over laughing...

2. i flew home on Saturday and saw the same sign and chuckled. The sign needs to
be updated--"Please also check in your monkeys".

4. I saw a chart recently...
It had pictures of a whole bunch of normal household things that you couldn't bring on an airplane - bleach, poisons, etc. Pretty standard stuff.

In the middle of all these items was a picture of a chainsaw.

5. I understand that quite frequently...
A monkey gets to board Air Force One.
No one fully understands how that is allowed to happen.

7. This is wrong--everyone knows you have to pay for a separate seat for your monkey.

9. At least he won't cry or say "bye bye plane" or have to be nursed
Why should he be refused boarding?

10. In another thread, I read that he was a perfect gentleman.
Put a diaper on him, and he'd probably be better behaved than the average toddler.

11. That's what Karzai is trying to prevent here:
"See? No worries. Your husband has not climbed into my hat."

18. Good Old TSA!
Providing "protection" since 9/11 for all of us fliers. If I were actually worried about my plane getting hijacked TSA would be the last organization I'd look to to protect me. Seeing TSA agents at the metal detector security checkpoints is like watching a monkey fuck a football...ultimatly it ends up messy and unsatisfying.

I'm a frequent flyer and have seen at least a dozen non-helper animals clear security and get on a plane. Come to DC and buy me a beer, I'll tell you a story about a ferret that was snuck onto a plane, got loose, bit a flight attendent and caused a four hour flight delay and why I ended up having to get six shots because of this situation. It's a good story.
