Hewitt is one of the nuttier neocon Bushies. He almost makes Rush seem rational.

So, if Petraeus is giving the right wing looney neocons interviews now, he's a complete tool. Or a fool for not realizing how this makes him look.

1. He's a volunteer. This is fighting the domestic front of the war.
Why won't people get this? I don't understand. The man is fighting a rear guard action against de-funding the war or dictating withdrawal because if we don't leave, we don't "lose". That's modern warfighting as the man sees it. Where this 'co-opted' idea comes from, I don't know.

2. Wouldn't the best way to do that be . . .
. . . to give interviews to anti-war broadcasters, as well? If he knows more about what is on the ground than our air america hosts, he'd be given a pretty wide berth, much the way Thom Hartman does when he interviews Right-wing guests.

And if he thinks of himself as fighting on the front of domestic public opinion, why is he on an obscure nobody's show? Why isn't he on a famous nobody's show, like Bill O'Reilly's?
