It's really no shocker to those here on DU that the Bush Administration set out to implement the findings of Project for a New American Century (PNAC). But as a refresher it is simply amazing, and eerie, to read their document, "Rebuilding America's Defenses."

I highly recommend it. Everything Bush says, every stupid catchphrase, every neocon philosophical utterance, every word he breathes out his non-lips - his entire Presidency resides in this one PNAC document.

LARGE WARS. Second, the United States must retain sufficient forces able to rapidly deploy and win multiple simultaneous large-scale wars and also to be able to respond to unanticipated contingencies in regions where it does not maintain forward-based forces.This resembles the “two-war” standard that has been the basis of U.S. force planning over the past decade. Yet this standard needs to be updated to account for new realities and
potential new conflicts.

6. Yes, a lot of us have been talking about this for years, but it's good to remind

everyone, and good to keep pointing it out so that those who unaccountably missed it the first time around might take a look-see now.

The document goes on to explain that waging wars on many fronts at once will keep the populace scared and malleable, unlikely to argue with the need for war, thus leaving the war profiteers free to..... profit.

our military was building bases and preparing for these wars. It's clear these plans were in place prior to 911. 911 and the "war on terror" are nothing less than a contrived justification for global domination. You may call me a conspiracy theorist, but the signs of a cover up were evident from day one. Anyone that reads the PNAC documents and fails to see the motive, opportunity, and intent contained within the events that followed does not belong on a jury.
