There was no underlying crime. There was an overwhelming crime
that nobody seems to care to discuss.

The truth is that they didn't out Plame only to get revenge on Wilson.

This was a twofer, folks.

She was outed because of her position in the CIA, specifically, her position in monitoring nuclear development in the Middle East. By outing not just her but her cover group, they effectively blinded the CIA in that area, making it easier for them to lie about nonexistent nuclear weapons programs in first Iraq and now Iran. There is no information to the contrary coming in.

If they had only meant to discredit her husband, they never would have instructed Novak to name Brewster Jennings, the name of the cover company.

And this, folks, is what makes the outing of one lone CIA agent rise to the level of TREASON.

1. It's far worse than that. . .
this was a criminal conspiracy to not only trash Wilson and Plame for being voices of reason and common sense, and the embodiments of public service, but to terminally trash Brewster Jenning's and their entire network of agents, who had intrepidly and allegedly busted a shipment of WMD's that were intended to be planted in Iraq. They were supposedly found in Turkey.

Also they supposedly had found direct dealings between "crashcart" (aka hogwash) and A. Q "Nuclear Walmart" in Pakistan.

This is far beyond treason.

I do believe we've suffered a bit of a coup.

Have a nice day anyway.

2. I've been saying this from the start.
From the first post I've been saying TREASON but nobody listens.....

3. Outing Brewser Jennings was even more serious than
outing V. Plame. The US Corp Media refused and still refuses to talk about that.

Commuting Libby's Prison Term was clever. Keeping the Pardon dangling keeps him mute.

4. Interesting, isn't it...
...how little the media mentions the Brewster Jennings thing. It's almost like they don't want us to worry our pretty little heads about it or something.

And of course our "liberal" pundits somehow never bring it up either...

Yes it absolutely rises to the level of treason: giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

5. What I find funny
(not ha ha funny) but oddly funny is how they claim no underlying crime while acknowledging the "obstruction of justice" and "lying" charges. When one lies or obstructs justice it usually means that someone is running interference or preventing proof or evidence of other things from becoming available. I guess in an admin where up is down and left is right and transparent means opaque I shouldn't be surprised.

6. They control the media, so they control the message
They can say whatever they want and either people believe it or not. This ABSOLUTELY was about Brewster Jennings and the running of WMDs of which Cheney is a big part.

7. "It wasn't the sex, it was the lying under oath about the sex."
Remember that oldie but goodie from the Clinton era? Even if there were truly no underlying crime with regards to Scooter-pie, which there is and it's a doozie, their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

IOW, IOKIYAR. :puke:
