2. It also says a lot about the upper 10, 20 and 50 %
for that matter. There is a reason why so many want to come to America - our median standard of living alone is unreachable in many countries.

13. i'm surprised louisiana as indonesia, thought they were MUCH larger
i think we come out on the good end of that comparison, or maybe it's a backwards dig at freeport mac i dunno but it's about right

mississippi as chile surprises me, i thought chile was quite a bit wealthier than mississippi but have not been able to visit chile myself

i would also be surprised if new jersey equals russia, new jersey is VERY rich, of course russia is VERY large so maybe it does balance out

would LOVE to see the numbers crunched behind these decisions

19. Chile is much wealthier in terms of raw natural resources
Edited on Wed Jun-20-07 11:19 PM by Selatius
They've got mineral deposits that could make the country fairly wealthy, but they have either squandered any wealth generated from it or do not know how to fully utilize the wealth in a manner that raises the standard of living for all. Pinochet's ultra-deregulation programs sapped the economy.

As a Mississippian, I can't say we have the fortune of having that kind of mineral wealth.

Rhode Island is Vietnam/ Delaware is New Zealand.
And I think from watching Deutsch World News Journal on Link TV; That Germany has a very high GDP.
Notice- NO state matches!
Is California - France because they both make wine? With global warming I should be able to grow grapes in Maine here, ya think?

My mane is Mr. KAMAAINA, Esq. Before his tragic disappearance at the height of our recent civil war, the renowned Nigerian patriot SKINNER instructed me to convey to you the sum of $25 MILLION U.S.

All that is necessary to complete this tranasction is a wire transfer in the amount of $100,000 U.S. Send this by close of business 25 JUNE 2007 to: KAMAAINA & MALIHINI, Attorneys At Law, Central Bank Building, HONOLULU.
