You know this is being done on purpose to stick it to the Congress. He originally wanted to ask for $100B, but decided to ask for next year's cost as well. This is money is to finance his nightmare for the next two years.

Congress people who vote for the resolution but are forced to vote to give him the money? If they approve the money, does it not mean they have to go on saying that they support him? and his escalation?

We, the people, need to make sure that whoever votes for the resolution, DOES NOT VOTE FOR THE MONEY!

Otherwise, it is I voted for it before I voted against it!!!

1. He's just demonstrating for all to see that Congress is an anachronism
That it is utterly powerless.

That he can do whatever the fuck he wants to do.

And that all those people voting last November can suck it. He's laughing at them for thinking we have a democracy.

3. About the cost of universal health care
Everytime you see a war appropriation like this just think of what could have been purchased.

Paul Krugman has written frequently that single payer, universal health care would actually be cheaper than our current system. But there would be big transition costs.

Think of this pointless, immoral, criminal appropriation request this way: There went universal health care.

the wheels of the (MIC) good and greased..... Tell Junior he can have the money under one condition and that's only if he shoves it up Cheney's Ass, $1 at a time.
