Take a break
Edited on Thu Aug-12-10 01:44 PM by quiet.american
-- and check out what President Obama has been up to. It might even turn out to be slightly more important than the outrage from certain quarters about what a "certain party" said this week. ;)

President Obama signed a bill that reduces tariffs on a long list of raw materials used by
U.S. manufacturing companies. The National Association of Manufactures says the measure will

President Obama made remarks from the White House Rose Garden on the jobs bill being debated in the House of Representatives. It provides about $26 billion to states mostly for preventing teacher layoffs and Medicaid expenses.

(Also nice to see David Obey looking fairly pleased with the President; in his usual droll manner, Obey gave a scathing rebuke/smackdown to the Republicans during the emergency session floor debate on the bill.)
