1. please stop calling atheism a religion

beliefs or lack thereof and religions are two very different things.

2. Why should something which is not a religion be called a religion?

Atheism is the lack of belief in gods, not some belief system in and of itself.

3. Atheism is not a religion. If it is, is belief in gravity an aspect of that religion?

What about geometry? And as far as having advocates - if that is part of the definition of religion - that would mean all salespeople, teachers or even those who are just proponents of using less fossil fuel products are pushing a religion.

I start to get in a bad humour when somebody insists that Atheism is a "religion".

It's *NOT* a religion.
