4. President Obama needs to take 3 minutes out of
EVERY day to listen to this!!

perhaps it would get him "fired up and ready to go" for the people.

7. My grandparents survived the Depresion
One of my most prized possessions is a simple framed photo of FDR that my grandfather cherished.

15. I have one also. And I don't think my parents cherished it any more
than I do. He hangs on the wall just behind my shoulder as I type. He comforts me.

9. Before unthinkingly using this to dump on Obama, remember this:
That was said by FDR in 1936 at the DNC, rather than midway in his first term. And by that time, he had a hand FULL of winning cards.

10. FDR was opposed by the repubs from the start
The difference from today is that the repubs then were not hoping he would fail but were giving his programs a chance to help the country out of a mess. The current band of crazies, especially the tea batters, are willing to have the country fall apart so that they can take over to make over to their liking.

13. A large number of Republicans were in open support of his New Deal legislation.
And his visceral haters were in disarray. His "Blue Dogs" of the day, the Southern Democrats, remained loyal to him until 1937 (2013 in today's chronology).

14. I'm certainly with you on that!
But enthusiasm has a force multiplier which may be critical next year, not only for Obama but for his "coat-tails". So all here who say" "I'm voting for Obama but am holding my nose" shouldn't be too surprised if next year's election doesn't come out as well as hoped for

12. Now if only certain Presidents would admire FDR instead of Reagan, we'd be much better off. NT
