1. You know, there is only one problem with revolution.

What that part of the movie Reds shows is the excitement and hope and idealism early on. Then reality catches on.

Don't get me wrong... something's coming, but when it does, the idealism will be replaced as well.

2. The movie actually does a great job of showing the disillusionment as well

I just thought we could use a little idealism for a change

And yes, things got real ugly real fast in the USSR

Sad because the syndicates were in place for a bottom up system - and then Stalin came along...
