2. Anti-Mormonism is not just confined to the evangelical right

A good many gays and liberals that I know have an open and visceral dislike of Mormons.

4. I know the religiously conservative evangelicals, and they will not vote for a Mormon,

and they usually support Republican candidates and Romney would need every one of those votes he can get. The ones you cite generally would never vote for a Republican anyways.

Some of us live in areas (Utah and surrounding states) where the Mormos are actually in the majority, and its not a pretty picture, trust me.

If the Church wasn't so racist they'd have more minorities in their ranks. If they weren't so homophobic they wouldn't have so many gay folks leaving in droves.

Indeed, the church will eventually have to change its tune and come around, or else it will fade into irrelevancy.
