I am trying to understand more of what's going on in Libya, and found this ... my apologies if it's been posted before.

1. I haven't watched (I will), but I am taken by the fact we are moving
towards never writing about anything in the future, but just speaking through videos... For me, accustomed to quickly reading and trained to absorb more from the written word, more quickly than from a dozen or more videos, this is not a good trend.

Not, meaning to target this mild complaint towards the OP... I just felt the need to bemoan the movement from clean, concise writing....

2. The Washington Times?
I honestly have no interest in the Reverend Moon's take on anything anywhere. And if it turns out that this report agrees with me in any way, I don't ever want to know.

3. It's just one of hundreds of press headlines and pieces of information compiled
by a person in Libya to make the video. I have no interest in the Times either, but it's interesting to see all the propaganda all in one spot, and information I didn't know about - like migrant workers being burnt, Qaddafi supporters hung in the street ....... not reported by the western media. Of course, you won't see that because a screen-cap of the video convinced you it's all about the Washington Times.

6. What person in Libya would that be?
And whose propaganda? And why are you pushing what you consider to be obvious propaganda? From what you said, this is entirely pro-Gaddafi and you seem to be buying it whole. Have you considered looking for a video or an article that expresses the other side's opinion? Why do you think the only information you need to know is the info that favors Gaddafi?

Do you think this video could have been posted if it did NOT favor Gaddafi?

7. No, it's not entirely pro Qaddafi. It's headlines from since the very
beginning, many in fact that were proven wrong. I'm not 'pushing' anything nor do I 'buy' into propaganda from anywhere. I don't know what person in Libya made it. Yes, I've seen videos and many articles that are pro-intervention. You seem to think you know what I've read and watched .............. you don't, and shouldn't try to tell me what you think I should limit myself to. But thanks for your concern.

9. Some very credible sources have written about the brutal
treatment of the migrant population, left behind when European and American Corps evacuated their own people, caring little for those poor African workers who now had no jobs and were targeted by the rebels, captured, and some of them 'disappeared'. Some of the world's human rights organizations, eg, were very concerned about the rape and disappearances of Somali women. None of this was shown on the US media.

I think it was when these reports first started, many of them coming from Western reporters on the ground, about the abusive treatment of those migrant workers, that I began to have doubts about this. I did read about people being hanged eg, presumed supporters of Qaddafi. This began, weeks ago, to look very troubling and at first, I did try to rationalize it, excusing it on the basis that the rebels thought they were mercenaries, eg. But reading the reports on human rights news outlets, I could not excuse some of what was going on any longer. Those people were terrified, NOT of Qaddafi supporters, they had worked in Libya without any problems until all of this started, but of the rebels. That told me something and it was not something good.

There is far too much we do not know about all of this to be able to support it as we did the Egyptian and Tunisian rebellions. Those were unarmed, peaceful revolutions. This has turned into something very different.

5. The first casualty of war is truth.
It will take 10 to 20 years before we will get an inkling of what actually happened.

8. I think we will get it sooner if we engage in some
critical thinking for every piece of information put out there. Just use the old journalistic standards of who, when, what, where and why, and having to have at least three independent sources to confirm and verify each story. When you put it through those filters, it trims away much of the BS.
