Sometimes I almost wish that the international community would place an embargo on the US until we agree to strict environmental regulations because that is the only way I can see it getting done.

3. Gaia has spoken

I was just watching the video of Glenn Beck attributing the Alabama tornadoes to God "whether you call it Gaia or Jesus."

Interesting. For once something righteously subversive may have gotten through his thick skull. Gaia is speaking to us and telling us to stop polluting. This is the most direct message we can get from something that might be called "God."

I keep wondering when all the punishing "freak" weather events will be analyzed more broadly for their relevance to the destabilization of earth's climate systems through industrial pollution.

Sadly, the saturation coverage of the British nuptials distracted our country from the unprecedented collection of so many tornadoes hitting in such quick succession.
