Senator Bernie Sanders talks about Vermont's movement towards single payer health care and makes the Fmr RNC Communications Director look like the chump he is for spouting stupid anecdotes because he has no facts to offer.

6. ...and Washington state
My wife is going without insurance...and God help us, if her aches and pains eventually turn out to be something serious.
Insurance for HER ALONE....at age 36 and healthy...is over $250 a month with HUGE deductibles. This is lunacy!!
Bring it on! We NEED universal health care. My story is nothing compared to millions of other Americans who are already in serious need of attention, but can't afford to address the concerns.

8. Do You Want To Understand The New Health Care Law?
Health Reform Hits Main Street: Cute Cartoon Explains the New Health Care Law

Confused about how the new health care reform law really works? This short animated movie -- featuring the "YouToons" -- explains the problems with the current health care system, the changes that are happening now, and the big changes coming in 2014.

12. Yup, the video is cute, put out by
Kaiser Foundation. Well, what do you know, a health insurance agency, and on top of that Cokie Roberts narrated it. Can you say spin? How long before business don't provide health insurance? I'm sure that once they figure out that the fee for not covering someone is less than covering them, it will be bye-bye health insurance coverage. And of course, the 32 million that are left out of the coverage...did you hear who that is, people who are undocumented.

This bill is a big pile of dung, no matter how many cartoons are made for it.

11. killer instinct
I really wouldn't want to get into a debate with Senator Sanders.

When Bernie lowers the boom, the GOP goon looks like he just got hit by a truck. He was probably thinking "This will be easy. I'll be able to wipe the floor with the old socialist dude." And then, BOOM!

It's like watching Michael Jordan dunking over Bill Laimbeer.

10. Thank you, Bernie and Bill!
The right wing creep said, "If you think health care is expensive now wait until it's free." Right wing creeps are also assholes. As if being a Republican asshole isn't bad enough they also have to be liars. Bernie nailed him.

18. He lost his train of thought and had to pull out a talking point.
Otherwise he'd be left dumbfounded with his mouth open. But he gave that line to the wrong crowd. I hope some of what was said sunk in. But he'll be back listening to the liar Rush, the liars Fox News and a bunch of self-interested lobbyists. If has any semblence of a soul, all that was said to him tonight will cut through all the bullshit. But time will tell. Republicans don't care much for truth, only in what forwards their perceived interests.

We need real health care reform in the worst way -single payer. And this creep wants to pass off right wing talking points as relevant. It just won't work with an educated crowd.

14. This is how Canada got universal health care. One province tried it, then everybody else wanted it.
Tommy Douglas pushed for it in Saskatchewan. They got it, and the rest of Canada soon followed. If Vermont does it, and other states, the rest of America will eventually follow suit.

We'll get medicare for all some day. The examples of every other industrialized nation, and of our present medicare system for seniors cannot be ignored forever. One day, the conservatives fighting against medicare for all will seem as silly as the conservatives supporting slavery way back when.

15. "Well get medicare for all someday"
which is why the GOP is so desperate to destroy it now, while they think they have the chance.

A government run social safety net that efficiently provides needed health care to millions of people, without having to pay off tens of thousands of insurance industry shills and PR spin-meisters? A system that isn't expressly designed to line the pockets of the shareholders and assorted greed-heads? It must be destroyed!

33. Ah for a computer and a little fact checking
Republicans are such pompous pricks. I worked in a teaching hospital in the neonatal ICU for 16 years and also in the mother/baby unit. Epidurals are a fairly recent adjunct treatment for labor, (used more in the past 15 years) and are given according to hospital policy during the first stages of labor, although some are given later stages. Looking at the incidence of epidurals in UK hospitals, you find that they have about 40% of their hospitals that provide epidurals. This isn't the same ratio that the US provides, but the studies in the UK show that they are trying to increase the availability of epidurals in the UK to equal that of the US. For this prick to say his sister was denied one because she was too healthy is probably half truth. If she went to a hospital that didn't provide them, well then she didn't get one, but also if she went and she was in a late stage of labor, she probably didn't get one either. If someone on these shows just had a computer and could fact check these assholes as they speak, oh what a wonderful television event that would be. Hey Bill, I'm available! Remember Google is your friend.
