7. Saw him on PBS also, good Story about Norfolk VA
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/need-to-know/environment/video-mark-hertsgaard-climate-change-comes-for-us-all/7635/

Rest of the episode of Need to Know was about Somali Pirates and National Guard abuses in California. Pretty good story, and they are filling Bill Moyer's hour well, so far. She used to sit in for Olbermann for a while.

3. Because scientific facts don't fit their narrative, and especially that of the interests they serve.
They just can't bite the hand that bribes them.

4. Check the body language of the "Godfather of Climate deniers", Repulbicon
He can't stand still, he can answer directly, he's a paid puppet of big oil.

He's a whore as a Senator and knows no science.

6. Because right wingers believe they are at least as smart as anyone
in the entire world. They hate the concept of anyone being smarter than them. They see it as a personal insult to their intellect and it bothers them so much they choose to believe it to be impossible. As such, if this whole "greenhouse" effect doesn't make sense to them, it can't be true.

Then there's the whole religion thing; most of these people think only God is capable of changing our weather and we have nothing to worry about.

Finally, because they're paranoid. They think all these scientists are part of a global scam to get rich by providing governments falsified info with which to enact taxes.

They're stupid and crazy, is the short end of it.
