1. Repeal would not have been possible w/o Tax compromise
Remember, the R's were going to take their toys and go home if they did not get their tax break for their millionaire and billionaire buddies. I agree that it sucked to give them that, but today's victory would not have been possible without it. Thanks Obama!!!

Yeah, maybe today.... but eventually it would've had to go... and unemployment benefits would have come back too. The tax cuts should have nothing to do with either and it is because Dems let Repugs set the rules that we get these victories smothered in huge and possibly far more dangerous defeats like the still lousy tax crap.... which fundamentally changes the nature of SS. Still a bad bad deal.

Plus there's still time to even derail this.

Still, though not GEEEEEEE_RATE! It's nice this foolish, useless chafe is almost gone.

6. Rachel is correct. When the president really wants to do something,
it gets done. He has more power than most DUers think. He just doesn't always use it to achieve what would be best for the country. This time, with DADT, he did.

College dorms are integrated in terms of sexual preference. Why not the military? Young people do not have the prejudices and hang-ups that the old conservatives have.

7. This was a test of The President and he passed. I am glad he is our President.

He ain't no President Bartlett though. But Bartlett was President down the street in Burbank.

What can I say I am loyal to the local?
