Here's a segment with Ben Mankiewicz who does a decent job of deconstructing the Huckabee / conservative attempt to take any political wind out of Ted Kennedy's passing.

When I did I used the bad justification of drinking diet Pepsi to offset the nastiness that was the food.

I don't like Mountain Dew. Too sweet. Rots the teeth. It is a gamer staple though. I know a lot of gamers who down that nasty stuff.

The only cure for them (and you might agree) is to be thrust into the cold and uncaring world of their own making without a net. Realizing that someone is getting the best of you at the expense of your own ignorance wakes people right the fuck up.

The sense of entitlement goes right out the window when Mommy and Daddy are not there to protect you anymore and that the worst ones who cheat the system/haven't worked to get where they are are the ones who are held up on pillars by the right-wing.

That and a little bit of international travel to make him understand just how sheltered he really is.

Although I still never heard, go home, take a pain pill and die. But I'm sure we could all follow Huckabee's advice - forgo the current plan and just give everybody the kind of healthcare that Kennedy had. I know I could live with that.
