2. I am so sad about the handling of this by our administration. We had nine years of
reading between the line with Cheney, now we have to do this with Obama and Clinton on this issue and I am not happy with the outcome as I see it. Otto Reich is still in. Negroponte , the "massacre-ist", is still advising Clinton.

What the heck is going wrong with the Democrats?

3. This coup looks like another American intervention whether it is or not.
The American government needs to tell Micheletti to allow Zelaya to go back in and then to have internationally observed elections. If Micheletti wins a legitimate election, good. If not, whoever wins should lead. Whether Micheletti's coup was "legal" or not, it sure was stupid.

The United States, Latin American governments and the United Nations have demanded Zelaya be returned to power, but U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton criticized him as "reckless" when he took a few steps onto Honduran soil on Friday in a symbolic gesture in front of international media.

Zelaya hit back at Clinton for the second time in two days, complaining she had stopped using the term "coup" to describe his removal. ....
