I'm at a computer that can't play videos at present, but I remember hearing about Severn's speech. Apparently, after she finished, a member of the US delegation rushed up to congratulate her .... then-Senator Albert Gore, Jr.

We heard Severn speak a couple of years ago. And she was with her Dad on his recent tour of Canada asking people "What would you do if you were Prime Minister?"

When she spoke about her experience at Rio, she said that, not only did Gore run up to shake her hand, but that he was the first in line to do it.
