So yeah he is. McCain is a major fame chaser, he never met a camera he didn't like. He badly burns inside at the thought of being a celebrity, which is the irony of his criticism of Obama last summer.

It's true though. McCain shows up in Vietnam documentaries, he has had several bios and other books ghostwritten for him and been on tour and various talk shows to promote them. Andrew Sullivan says he hangs out with only the most elite Beltway journalists. He's hosted SNL, done cameos on 24 and in "The Wedding Crashers." He tries to rub elbows with famous people all the time, like he had Ann Hathaway and her con artist ex-boyfriend hanging out with him a few years ago. McCain is one of the least serious politicians out there, a total glory hound.

If a U.S. Senator votes against the stimulus bill, their state should lose half the funding from the bill. If both U.S. Senators from one state vote against the bill (like here in Az.), the state loses its entire allocation from the legislation.

As bad as things are and as much as I think the stimulus bill could be improved at least we don't have McCain as president and Phil Gramm or John Thain at Treasury overseeing our "recovery."
