Good grief, is Iraq now the 51st state? Bring our troops home, get the fuck out of there and let them take any vacation they want.

He is the one saying that he had a surge in troops to give the Iraqi government time to sort out it's problem. We were not told that that time would include taking July and August off for vacation for the Iraqi Parliament.

Yeah, big surprise, Bush lied.

Iraq has a puppet government that continues to spew Bush admin talking points. The world community recently met to come to an agreement about what's next. Bush invaded Iraq, and unfortunately the world community considers Bush the President of the United States so they expect that the U.S. will be involved in getting Iraq back on track. As long as that is the case, the U.S. will have responsibilities to Iraq. If the Iraqis are going to vacation in the middle of a civil war while Maliki is seeking money for reconstruction and other aid, then the U.S. can make demands too.
