I just saw Senator McCaskill's speech and was JUST as impressed with her "getting it"

2. I hope they're right.
Claire McCaskill was the Jackson County prosecutor from 1992-1998, and then the Missouri State Auditor from 1998 to 2006. She was widely respected and liked in those jobs. She's one smart cookie.

4. K&R But, I have to say that if she was really serious, she
would be calling for prosecution for fraud of the taxpayers money. And, I have to add that this is the only time I have really liked what she has said. Granted, I haven't heard that much from her.

7. McCaskill is 57 or 56.
She'd be around 64 in 8 years. I wish she were 46!

I definitely need to read up on our illustrious Senator McCaskill. I love the fire in her belly, so to speak.

11. I don't think that she is intrested in the position. >

Though I could be wrong. I think she is great as a senator but we didn't win Misouri this time. I would like to see cynthia re-enter the Democratic party and run against Clinton she might lose but it would make a very lively contest.

12. What is the problem?
With the NEA.

I am a 50 year old professional who worked at the same company for 24 years. I no longer have health benefits, and I am facing foreclosure. There is no money for me to return to school, and I am down to the most minimal unemployment benefits. My retirement savings were wiped out in the crash. The future looks bleak for me. I am frankly afraid for my future. Fifty is too old to be without any safety net.

Now, if I were a factory worker, a teacher, a construction worker, or anything else for that matter, everyone would sympathize. But I am not. I am a career professional in the arts.

I am just curious as to why people don't think that my industry deserves help? Do you think that all artists are beatniks, or foolhardy dreamers in their twenties who just need to get jobs? All these years, I have paid my taxes, stimulated the economy with my dollars, anchored my community by buying a home, and volunteered to help people in need. If I go under, I tear as big a hole in the fabric of our society as any other American.

What gives here people?

14. I agree, Senator McCaskill is
tough and not afraid to speak out against
the greed and corruption on Wall Street.
And she's asking for the bonus money to be paid back,
something everyone on Capitol Hill and in the White House
should be doing.

What I have heard from her is impressive.
She has what it takes to be a great candidate for POTUS.

K&R.
