ABC The View - Jan. 22, 2009: Elisabeth Hasselbeck defended Michelle Obama against the media Thursday morning on The View In response to media critics who have laid into the First Lady for her inaugural fashion choices, a somewhat shaken Hasselbeck said, "I think, look, if this is the media's attempt at trying to be objective as we move into the next administration, they're moving in the wrong direction." Hasselbeck went on praising the fashions that the First Lady and her daughters wore throughout the inaugural celebrations, both for their affordability and the fact that they were made by American designers. "All these naysayers on the side better find something else to get objective about," she said.
