Aspiring scientists from the Zurich School of Applied Sciences have built a video simulation that displays the flight path of every commercial flight in the world over a 24 hour period.

8. Funny, I had a different "resource" reaction.

And that was that the US is a HUGE energy hog and we really need to re-examine how we do business. My dream would be that businesses would engage in local production/distribution, or at least much more teleconferencing, and also give employees bigger chunks of vacation time so that they could take trains and buses to visit family living across the country instead of flying which uses a disproportionate amount of energy.

13. I find this highly disturbing

I've been searching for quite some time to find flight paths. This is about as close to what I wanted to see as I'll get.

I'll spare you all, but I have serious problems with this. And not just global warming. In a word, pollution. Of course there's a good side. I would prefer the slower, cleaner, quieter world.

16. I used to suntan on a windsurf board in the middle of a lake one hours

north of Ottawa in Quebec. I'd watch jet after jet flying by. I guess most of them are american planes. That video sure makes it look so.
