I think it should be used, but not with an "I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message" tag. Let a 527 put it out there and get the message in the minds of voters without the backlash that would occur against President Obama.

15. Hubby even educated his hair stylist a week ago

He went for a haircut at Great Clips and the young woman talked about politics. She said she was voting for McC because she liked Palin. So hubby asked if she knew Palin's complete stand of abortion for even rape and incest victims plus this info about the rape kits. She said she was going to look into it online but changed her mind on the spot about her vote.

Not my husband's favorite subject, he was uneasy. But he decided to speak and up and felt he did the right thing.

This video is for the non campaign surrogates to air. Not the campaign. They don't need to get into mud slinging on this topic.

But not every add needs to be "dignified" IMO, especially if it's from a 527. If that's the standard we can count on losing quite a number of elections because not every candidate will be as amazing and charismatic as Obama (and the country won't always be so eager to embrace his great message).

38. My suggestion takes into account that negatives do work in a variety of ways.

Polling seems to indicate that staying above the fray has done Obama well. We are in a crucial countdown. McCain displays a frenetic demeanor. Obama, during the debates, was levelheaded. He should stay there. I read something on Dailykos about a guy deciding, presented by a stewardess, "Chicken or a plate of shit with glass in it?" The decision was the chicken hot or cold. My apologies to the conceptualizer.
The guy choosing the glassy shit probably won't be swayed at this time. The guy who has glommed onto Obama has come to expect a higher order. Perhaps I'm naive.

I can not BELIEVE that anyone in the correct mind would ever even consider a bill or law like this. Taking a woman who has gone through a terrible crime then must go through additional heartache by having to pay for her own rape kit... ohhhhh I get it.... it is so women stop reporting rapes, because they can't afford the rape kit and exam, allowing the rapist to get away with their crime, encouraging them to do more rapes AND if they target poor women, they will never get caught!
