In Part IV, Sen Edwards talked about “College for Everyone” to encourage higher education without incurring “crushing debt coming out of college.”

He reminded us that he can’t make transformational change by himself, that change comes from the grassroots up.

1. Edwards is great,
It may be a blessing that the press is not focused on him in a negative way now -- like they are on Clinton and Obama. Edwards speaks from his heart and has less trouble keeping his ego in check than the other candidates.

2. It does seem that MSM does not take much notice
Unless they want to ask him about Hillary or Obama (or, now, Coulter), they don't seem interested. They've decided Hillary and Obama are the story and they are sticking with it. Meanwhile, the grassroots are getting more attached to Edwards. Given that he is the one taking strongest and most defined positions, it must be getting more difficult for them.

Maybe you are right, it might be for the best. In a perfect world, though, MSM would be focused on the issues and abilities of the candidates instead of trivial story lines better suited to "American Idol."

I agree that his ego is more in check than most candidates. He may look young, but he is the most mature.
