At about the 9:08 mark in the video, Palin says, "The fact is that Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae... they've gotten too big, and too expensive for the taxpayers."

Request: For someone to clip that portion of the video, and upload it onto YouTube.

(If the Obama campaign were smart, it would produce a campaign clip on this and air it on as many stations as possible.)

1. OMG
even mcCain didn't know she was wrong about fannie and freddie and there was his wife...clapping away.

we are screwn, these people are super morans. Not to mention the hilarious moment when she said< 'middle class americans like you and me" and they all nodded. no way! she just finished telling us about what a good saver she is because she laid off the governor's mansion chef.

Ohhhh, how's it down here with the unwashed, hillbilly sarah? Can anyone say Nouveau Riche, uneducated, moronic liar? Not pointing any fingers, Just sayin'.

9. the e-Bay lie... still and again?
I may be wrong, but I read (a couple of days ago) that she tried to sell it on e-Bay, but that "the jet did not sell on e-Bay". http://progressivevalues.blogspot.com/2008/09/sarah-palins-ebay-jet-lie.html
I understand that things get a bit repetitious, but... a LIE?!?

CitzienPatriot, I also wondered about Palin laying off the mansion chef...Reformer Sarah is saving money AND creating a new job? WOW! (new job creation because the chef probably and hopefully found a new job somewhere else).
Not only that, but as I understood she says that her children might miss her (the chef)... you bet! After all, who's preparing the meals for them, now that Mom is busy on a crusade against Sin City (Washington)?
Guess the kids will just go out and shoot themselves their meal...

It's great to see videos and issues that I saw here first finally making it to CNN!
You know, I live in Europe, and CNN is pretty much the only TV channel I get here which covers the US electoral campaign.

Since this is my first post:
Although an European, I have always had a special and personal interest in US issues and I have been "following" Obama for over a year now, he is most inspiring to me!
I want to thank you all who contribute to this forum, and if your information reached me, you'll sure reach US voters (also the ex-pats)!

Thank you again!

15. Hey there!
Welcome! :hi: :hi::hi:

You are correct about the jet; they lie about so many things, I have actually lost track. Our media here (which you watch) isn't very good at investigative journalism; they are mainly talking points for the Republican party due to their ties with the media conglomerates. You probably don't hear the truth about the lies they tell. We have to dig the truth up ourselves it seems. But this is a great site for that! If you ever get the chance, watch Keith Oblermann on MSNBC. You can google it, too. He is pretty good at bringing up issues most of the media outlets ignore.

Which country are you in? My DREAM is to live in Europe; we used to go over at least once a year, but now it's tough. We were just talking about where we might go if McCain gets elected. It's hard to get in to the countries we would most love to live in...but I"m sure where there is a will, there is a way.

It's great to hear from the other side of the ocean. I've been wondering how all of this was playing out over there. I will never forget my total embarrassment when we were in Paris during the Clinton blue dress scandal. Parisians kept asking me, "but why do Americans care?" I certainly didn't know what to tell them, except that not all Americans cared about his sex life. then, after America became the bully of the free world, we were in Germany and many Germans wanted to warn us about where this could go, based on their own experience. If found them a compassionate and sensitive group of people and was amazed at their insight. They were kind to us, as well. We loved Vienna and Basel, as well.

Take care and welcome again!

2. republicans love these attacks though
Republicans love these types of attacks from Dems and encourage them.
Here in Texas, Ann Richards ran against GW Bush for governor. She made
a "thing" out of his uninformedness and general ignorance. So did Al Gore
when he ran against Bush for president.

I wonder if Repubs don't encourage this, because they can
spin it in their favor every time.

5. That was a prepared speech
That was no gaffe but instead someone wrote that down for her and she repeated it!

She sounds very stale, she doesn't have any real new material since the day she was announced.

It reminds me of the Saturday night skit with Dukakis saying "I can't believe I'm loosing to this guy". If the MSM refuses to go after all of her lies about her record than Obama or the DNC or Move-On needs to start to raise awareness.

Where are the ads about her declaring executive privilege?
Where are the ads questioning creationism in the schools? -- Good for a Move-On ad.
Where are the ads about moving away from oil and how drilling or the pipeline won't help for 10 years but raising some windmills will help tomorrow and building solar power plants can help next year?
Where are the ads about values? Which party values life? the party that won't extend SCHIP or the party that wants to provide universal health care?

We need to mix it up on the issues and the character in every ad. Make sure that both messages comes across about trust and about being tied to last century's solutions. If we don't take the fight to them and loose we will hear on the day after election how this campaign was run just like all of the other loosing Democratic campaigns and how the Republicans won on character and trust. BullShit!!! I don't trust McCain who will invent a "cross in the sand story" who will pick the worst threat to our democracy we have faced as a nation with the End-times-Creationist-Separatist-Anti-Choice-Anti-Gay candidate SP for VP.

If I don't see any fighting ads and soon then we have the worst of all worlds. A Republican party that will destroy this country in the name of greed and god and a Democratic party that is too afraid to fight for it.

12. here's a short but exact description I wrote for you
Go to:

http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/

Download the program.

Once started, a small box will pop up. You then go back to your browser internet window to the video you are wanting to download. You got up into the URL box where the internet address is and copy it, then go back to the youtubedownloader program and go into the field where you put the address (it usually goes in automatically). Then simply click download and it will download the file, click save to put it into your folder.

Then, with the same youtubedownloader program you change the setting to convert (it's all very clearly marked on the youtubedownloader window), then select that you want to convert it to a windows media player file. It will convert it very quickly.

Then you go into windows movie maker and load the movie file (make sure you choose the converted movie file, it's the one with the filmstrip icon), once it loads into bits on the windows media player window, you simple find the portion you want and drag it down to the bottom of the movie maker. There, you slide the video to the portion you want. Be sure to right click on the video and select fade in/out so that it looks somewhat professional. There are many tools in windows movie maker. Have fun.

19. Palin's mistake
Hi all, I'm new at commenting here. Nice to meet you all. I've been reading this site for a long time but figured it's time to comment so that Republican readers can read my thoughts.

Here is a shorter version of this Palin mistake. I saw this tonight and my mouth hit the floor. This, to me, is a huge mistake on her part. The funny part is John McCains face when she says it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eO4k1fIjivg I hope this hits every democratic blog out there. She should have known better but obviously didn't.
