It makes no effing sense at all. She could say she sold the plane, that's it. Instead, she makes up a story that she actually sold it on Ebay? That's just weird.

As I posted in another thread...

Conservatives champion the letter of the law (the facts) whereas liberals champion the spirit of the law (justice). This difference is key to understanding our opponents...

Technically, Palin was correct... She "put" the jet on eBay, but nothing ever came of it. In her conservative mind, she told the truth on stage when she parsed her words carefully... It's not her fault if the audience took her precise statement further... She giggled after she delivered that line because she knew she got away with telling the truth while misleading the audience at the same time.

So... John is repeating his interpretation the story, and everyone will cut him some slack... But, the key point remains that Palin didn't lie (technically).
