13. Study this carefully. This is what these people do. All the time...

They change the subject, move the goalposts, resort to "{insert name of person or organization} does it, too" (a logical fallacy), and if you still persist in trying to have a civilized discussion they monopolize the conversation (sic) by shouting and waving their arms, demanding that YOU show proof or statistics and, if all else fails, they run away.

My Repub neighbor does this (well...the first 3 of the above, anyway.) I had a former co-worker who did it too.

We need to be focused, be a broken record, set limits and tell them we'll continue the discussion later when they have themselves under control.

Think...Isn't this what you would do if your 2 year old was throwing a tantrum??
