Here is more about the event with more links.

They shouted Dean down in NC...yelled Dump Dean. Held NoObama signs.

Part II

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbMW1xuUA2Y

"Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean spoke in Charlotte, NC 07-25-08. He was introduced by Charlotte Mayor Pro Tem Susan Burgess and was also met by US District 9 Congressional Candidate Harry Taylor. This Part II of his two-part speech."

In spite of the yelling he still was courteous and got his message out.

I think some other "national leading Democrats" might want to put themselves on the front line and hear this stuff. He has worked too hard to deserve this. He stops, listens to the Pumas, and let's them speak, and he responds. They just kept yelling.

Kudos, Howard, keep up the good work.

3. If they are not Democrats then maybe....
Hillary should ask them to stop using her pictures as logos on their various blogs? Couldn't she do that?

They have a right to post pictures, but their include it in many logos. Just wondering...since we always hear they are not Democrats.

One of them there that day was a Clinton delegate to convention. Shouting down the party chairman.

9. This fellow is a delegate. He tells of a the party reaching out, and he attacks them.
In my mind that shows he is dubious as a delegate. Another state kicked out one who refused to support the nominee.

This is sad and it is tragic.

http://helpmejoseph.typepad.com/charlotte_front_and_cente/2008/07/all-we-need-is.html

"The Obama campaign appears to have a new strategy in dealing with Hillary Clinton's delegates. I call it "all you need is love". Yesterday I participated in a conference call with the Obama/DNC campaign for all North Carolina delegates where they specifically invited Hillary delegates to join in with the Obama delegates. I wanted to see what they were up to. Apparently the Obama/DNC campaign has taken over delegate relations for both the Obama and Clinton delegates. To show us how much they love us, the moderator of the call made a special effort not to say anything bad about Hillary, or anything that would offend Hillary’s delegates. We are supposed to be one big happy family.

I can't say that I don't like the new strategy, but I can say that I don't trust it. What the delegates for Hillary Clinton want is to go to the convention and have Hillary treated with the respect due to any candidate who received more than half the votes in the primaries. While I prefer the nice approach to being ignored, it's not going to deter me from my job as a Clinton delegate to go to the convention and do everything I can to support her candidacy for the President of the United States.

..."Last week when I spoke to Howard Dean (chairman of the "former" DNC which has apparently been absorbed into the new Obama/DNC campaign) he said that if Hillary wants the nomination and roll call vote she will get it. How condescending that is.

They are getting what they want and are calling it condescending. The party is reaching out and it angers him.

4. Gov Dean did great in dealing w/the protesters
He has a trait that is rare in most of our politicians - he is dipolmatic.

I find it intersting where the rally was held - on the west side of Charlotte, which is predominately black. (It is where I lived before I escaped back to the left coast.)

6. As I say, if they are Republicans mostly....
then couldn't Hillary legally request they quit using her picture as a logo? Just wondering. One of them was a Clinton delegate named Marc, who got into a discussion with Dean.

8. I am sort of serious about the picture.
Is there a way legally they could be asked not to use her photo in a logo?

11. I don't think her picture is their logo.
I think the one which says "Find Your Voice: Charlotte Front & Center" is their logo and the Hillary Clinton one is just a picture.

12. Every one of their blogs has a picture. Usually the same one.
Isn't there a way she could legally ask them to remove it since she is not connected to them and they are Republicans?

10. What a bunch of assholes.
Hard to believe they're not Republicans pretending to be Democrats. I know a few Hillary supporters, and while they were disappointed, none of them are even hinting at voting for McCain. They're not demanding anything for Hillary - they'd like to see her in some kind of prominent position, but they realize that Obama won and it's time for unity. I'd bet that 90% of these people are Republican operatives. Remember the Republican protesters filling the halls in Florida in 2000? Probably much the same thing.

13. It happened in Atlanta also, when Mayor Franklin was with Dean
I am not posting to her website, but the poster was so delighted they made Mayor Franklin angry. There were pictures and utter delight. They, grown women, in the pictures...had signs calling Obama O-blah-blah.

18. Dean was in Stockbridge, Maine yesterday....they hounded him there as well.
I guess that is part of his job. To take this stuffl

http://www.berkshireeagle.com/ci_10064777

"STOCKBRIDGE — Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean will appear in Stockbridge on Saturday, trying to fatten the coffers of Barack Obama's war chest.
Dean, the former Vermont governor and 2000 presidential candidate, is part of the Obama fundraising machine.

On Saturday at 5 p.m., he will join a group of Obama supporters in the home of Joel and Patricia Ellis on Prospect Hill Road in Stockbridge.

The minimum requested donation is $250. "Sponsors" — those who contribute $500 or more — can attend a private reception with Dean before the fundraiser.

Joel Ellis said he and his wife have been involved with the Obama campaign for about a year and have held events on his behalf in New Jersey, where they live full time."

But guess what:

http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/2008/08/03/pumas-vs-dean-again/

"Hillary and COUNT EVERY VOTE supporters set up Hillary signs near a Stoctkbridge event featuring Howard Dean. People honked and were quite supportive. All in all a lot of people saw us and the signs for Hillary. We accomplished a lot by our quiet diplomacy and exuberance as we waved to all the cars that went by us. There were a lot of honks and thumbs up and waves. it turned out to be good. People love Hillary and still support her for President."

Seems like he is the target, and it seems like overkill.
