I have not watched all of this video yet. It is Lou Dobbs' interview with Steve Geller, who just filed a lawsuit against the DNC. His "bramble bush" video is in this forum right now.

The shocking statement from Hillary...her very own words on video:

She says they should count Florida votes exactly as they were cast.

If Democrats send a message that we don't fully value your vote, we know that Senator McCain and the Republicans will be more than happy to have them.

I am more than anxious for someone to defend this statement. This is shocking. It is unbelievable that the wife of the former president would come to my state and say something like that. It is unbelievable that the Florida Senate Minority leader would go on Lou Dobbs and insult the chairman. That he would go on Lou Dobbs and let Dobbs praise Corinne Brown for saying seat us or we won't count in November.

Dobbs is just having so much fun with this foolish man.

Hillary's statement begins just before the one minute mark.

1. Geller also says "they won't get our votes in November"...
Here's the investigation you demanded, Sir Geller...just look at yourself on this video.

Don't throw me in the bramble bush.

Another day, another threat. Another Democrat referring to the party in the third person, like he is not part of it.

4. If someone were to hear this for the first time from any of these people...
They would think that Dean and Obama are trying to disenfranchise the voters. Lou Dobb's is not reporting the news he's telling one side of the story so that it favors HC. Rules were made and everyone agreed with them and now these "adult's" are saying that we don't want to follow the rules and now lets change them. Then the next election comes around and everyone moves their primary up to the first day???? Does this make sense? Lou is saying this is because of Obama and Dean??People turn on news to get information not propaganda. By the way Lou didn't you hear that recently Obama and Dean were opened to some sort of settlement like taking the precentage how it is and cutting the delegates in half like the GOP? Oh yeah that's news and it doesn't fit into your propaganda. Though again this is changing the rules but I think they should do it with the understanding that if this ever happens again.... Does anyone know how to get MSNBC on XM radio I am finished with CNN!

7. That video makes me want to cry.
I feel sad for my state, sad that a candidate would tell her supporters that McCain would welcome their votes. Just sad.

18. Exactly - if I was for her (barf) I would have yelled when she said that
"why in the world would you think I'd vote for him?"

I'm really feeling that those people still hard core for her are just "in love" with the Clinton Camelot feeling from the 90's, because frankly, they're pretty much all the good memories Democrats really have since most people who were adults for Kennedy are very old or passed on from this Earth. Carter was peaceful, but people don't appreciate the honesty he brought - so they just love Clinton no matter WHAT she says or does. If she was out of the blue in our history like Obama is, and said the crap she's said, she'd have a Ron Paul level of support nationally - she'd be called looney, out of touch, and dangerous. Instead there's moderates and Camelot lovers who hang on to her becoming president, and don't wanna realize it's over and they have to pull away, like I had to with Edwards, and support our best chance to win against EIGHT MORE YEARS OF MCSAME.... I cannot have that - I will leave this country certainly if he wins. I've already discussed it with friends. Obama must win - our democracy hinges on it - McSame will bring more war and famine...

19. "Obama must win"
There is no logical reason for supporting him except people love...love ..love American Idol

They vote their little hearts out for a crappy singer that they identify with because they

have shallow meaningless lives

BO is just like an American Idol contestant. His only talent is reading from a teleprompter

and one day all the little groupies will discover he is just like Milli Vanilli

They got sucked in by a no talent Fraud

20. Sorry. I've never seen American Idol.....
But I absolutely believe that Obama is our only choice. One thing I do have is a brain that I use when I research the issue's and listen to how intelligent a candidate is by his reponses to questons and to what is going on around him. I've realized that good judgment and intelligence are very important attributes a president must have. We haven't had that in a while and it shows. All the experience in the world doesn't matter if someone doesn't have good judgement.

13. Democracy demands that you follow the goddamned rules
Florida and Michigan were not valid elections. Seating delegates according to those votes debases votes cast by other Democrats in valid primaries.

If they want to hold new primaries in those states according to party rules, I am all for Florida and Michigan voters having a say just as I did. The rules matter, though. Hillary agreed to those rules, and she can't call takebacks now.

22. While the video was clipped at times, I didn't interpret her as handing anything to McCain.
My take is that her inflection suggests reverse-psychology? By saying "we know that Senator McCain and the Republicans will be more than happy to have them", and how she said it, the inference being the votes need to be counted properly and she was acting as if most of them would be for the Democratic nominee.

Maybe it was a slip of the words; if I think of her same phrase often enough, other meanings might present themselves. It's up for any of us to decide what she means. Right now, I honestly don't see anything insulting (unlike the video from several weeks ago saying how she and McCain had experience whereas Obama merely has words or whatever it was she had said.)

24. It is a pattern from her supporters and surrogates...that we will lose Florida.
Quite frankly there is just no other way to take that statement of hers. I transcribed it carefully from the video that Dobbs showed on his show.

"If Democrats send a message that we don't fully value your vote, we know that Senator McCain and the Republicans will be more than happy to have them."

There is just no other way to take that. The former first lady is giving permission for Floridians caught up in the moment to vote for McCain.

26. If Clinton is so worried about every vote being counted
where the hell was she in 2000 and 2004? I've heard not one peep out of her for either stolen election

mad - when the vote for the rules was counted, do you know if there was a written record? It enrages me when some willfully ignorant fool tries to blame this fiasco on Howard Dean.
