1. his *mancrush* on Jon Stewart did nothing for his ratings
So he's picking a fight with someone on the right to improve his ratings. I find both these men tedious AT BEST. Not even worth the effort of making popcorn.

2. Have heard lots of old school conservatives (fiscal responsibility & pro Constitution)
railing just like Joe about being attacked if they dare voice dissent to the neocon agenda of spend, borrow, let your cronies steal, and fuck the Bill of Rights.

Perhaps some of Joe's passion was to go for ratings, but he certainly echos many of what we used to call the loyal opposition - those who have different priorities and methods, but who also love America and are willing to make intelligent compromises.

Falafel Bill's tirades are just bully tactics to try and intimidate other pundits into staying in line. The neocons started losing control of media manipulation of public opinion with Katrina. There was NO way to explain away their non-response to grave human tragedy. The public was emboldened to speak harshly and that spread to voicing outrage at other neocon fuster-clucks.

Somebody in a big office is putting the squeeze on the neocon echo chamber chorus and they are howling their frustration at not being able to fool all of the people some of the time anymore. They are obsolete. They know it, but they hope to convince us otherwise.

Like the terrible twos, they have a case of finding out they AREN'T in charge but they still entertain hope that WE don't know that yet.

They are screwn and not taking it well:D
