Your Daily Politics Video Blog: 100 years? 1,000 years? 10,000 years!?! Think what you want about who's being unfair, who should drop and the like in the primary race. The Democrats are missing a big opportunity to strike early at John McCain's Achilles heel -- his lockstep support for an extremely unpopular war. We lay out the key points in today's episode of TPMtv.

1. K&R. When will the Democrats realize that Americans hate this war?
It's only the Washington pundits who love it.

6. Not just Washington ...
the biggest lovers of this war are those profiting from it, which means everyone in the MIC and don't expect things to get better ... we're a Warrior Nation now that MUST have wars to survive, which in of itself is insane, but about the only part of our economy that's functioning now has to do with defense, or should I say "offense" department. So don't look for the war to stop - expect that they'll be more wars and those of us who refuse to be conscripted into them will be imprisoned into forced labor camps.

Think I'm being alarmist? Than why did Fallon resign? Why is cheney meeting with the leader of Israel? Why are we deploying more ships to the region? Why is Betrayus falsely claiming Iran bombed the Green Zone? Why do we have McInsane spewing lie after lie and ratcheting up more war talk? Why are new crowd control weapons and surveillance drones now being unveiled?

With the economy collapsing look for food shortages and mega-inflation driving us into a frenzy and Washington and those behind all this will tell us the only way out is to fight our way out. By this time next year we'll be a full-blown totalitarian police state.

3. McCain has another serious weakness on a more subtle, emotional level.
His voice is horrible. He sounds weak, peevish, feminine, scared. His voice is brittle. When his voice strengthens, it is usually only to express impatience and anger. He just does not sound presidential. I know people will say that is superficial. But a bad voice grates on people's nerves. He sounds like he is complaining all the time. Do we really want another complainer in the White House. Weren't two complaining Bushes enough? Americans are going to hear a lot from McCain, and his voice is going to repel a lot of people. It sounds like chalk squeaking across a chalkboard. I don't think he can do anything to improve his voice.

I'm very sensitive to voices and sounds. You probably are too, but you just aren't aware of it.

One of Obama's greatest assets is his voice. It reflects his warmth and confidence and energy. I can't wait for the debates. Obama's sonorous almost singing voice will easily transcend McCain's mousy squeak. And, by the way, I'm not an Obama supporter.

Hillary had a lot of trouble with her voice. She will never have a great voice, but she has improved a lot.

And, by the way, voices are not sexist matters. Many women have great voices. Maya Angelou's voice is heavenly. There are a number of actresses with great voices.

People first listen to a voice and then to what you say. This will really hurt McCain, and there is nothing he can do about it. I am not computer savvy enough to do it, but it would be interesting to pit some statements from Obama -- anything -- he could be talking about the weather -- against similar statements by McCain. You will hear what I mean.

4. Great post! Thanks for bringing that to my attention; I will be listening
more closely now, though I have to admit I tend to try NOT to listen to McCain. I agree about Obama's voice, but I am prejudiced there. ;)
