Labor Determined To Pass Employee Free Choice Act Despite Right-Wing Big Lie Campaign

http://www.laborradio.org/node/6910

By Doug Cunningham

AFL-CIO Organizing Director Stewart Acuff says despite a right-wing big business campaign against the Employee Free Choice Act is telling the Big Lie that the labor law reform somehow deprives workers of elections to decide whether to join unions.

: "It's a simple lie. It's a classic sort of corrupt corporate propaganda. The Employee Free Choice Act will allow workers who want an election to petition for an election and have an election about whether or not to be union. It will also give workers who want a more streamlined process the right to form a union by simply signing cards or a petition."

Acuff says the reality is that workers choosing to form unions are threatened, harassed and intimidated and this Employee Free Choice Act will end that employer abuse.
