1. They've done worse than show that video
From what I've read two years ago they eliminated almost all full time positions.

2. Wal-Mart has better prices, anyway, at least for the stuff I buy.

3. I'm still boycotting over their anti-gay political contributions and Gregg Steinhafel's non-apology

4. Well, I'm still waiting for that exhaustive, all-encompassing DU list of all we should be boycotting
but maybe a list of what we are not boycotting would be shorter.

To really be effective a boycott generally needs to be specific, focused, and local. Otherwise it is just something to make you feel good about your choices.

Most people shop at places like Target or Walmart because they need to or like to shop there. Most could care less about a boycott because they are likely worn down by the constant calls to boycott this or boycott that.

5. and, you can't boycott everyone. You sometimes have to shop
somewhere. Many places do not have any viable alternatives.

6. Absolutely correct. There are people here who get self righteous
about anyone who shops at Walmart. How dare they!

But there are people who have no choice. Maybe they live miles from anywhere else to shop, maybe they cannot afford the alternative.

It's good to make a stand on things, just don't demand that others exactly share your convictions.
