39. Of course not.
They haven't learned their lesson before and it's not profitable anyway.

Besides, it's been a rather long time and BY NOW somebody would have said something official. So maybe they haven't learned a thing.

What is it with GB and Starbuck prices? Will there be a replay of the Boston Tea Party for the caffeine junkies there?

If I lived there, I'd be the guy in warpaint!

12. no, they broke in with the head line and then continued on covering
regular shit. Very bizzare.

Tivo'd back - It's in San Francisco. Explosive device has been found in a Starbucks. Starbucks on Van Nes (?) Ave. Police recieved a call about a device found in the restroom. It looked like a pipe bomb and the police are saying it was an explosive device. Two hours ago it was removed and detonated outside. Police on the scene.

There are no other details so far.

Probably some whacko repuke making a statement against leftist latte drinkers.

26. No, it's a new character this time....
Polls clearly show that Americans are tired of the same ole super villians. They're now ready for a new threat, something with a bit more pizzaz. I'm thinking a deranged homosexual cell (liberal, of course) has finally grown tired of pretending to believe in the Constitution and have swore a blood-oath to each other to destroy America. In fact there's a huge network right in our own neighborhoods. They could be any, anywhere at anytime. The homo-terrorists wants your children to watch SpongeBob and doesn't want you to take showers with them. They are evil, EVIL!!!!

16. Police defuse bomb. San Francisco Starbucks. No evidence this is related
to any organized group of any kind.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/baycitynews/archive/2006/01/09/bomb09.DTL

A San Francisco Starbucks is closed this afternoon after police defused a bomb placed in the bathroom.

Police received a call reporting a suspicious package at the coffee house, located at 1401 Van Ness Ave., at 1:15 p.m. The police explosives ordinance unit defused an improvised explosive device, or IED, around 2 p.m., Sgt. Neville Gittens said.

Gittens said he could not comment on the size or type of device found or on its potential explosive capacity. A police investigation is ongoing.

20. Several years ago, it was pretty popular for some of the teens
around here to put pipe bombs in the mail boxes on our rural street. One went off. It was not covered on CNN/FAUX/MSNBC 24/7. Our local paper mentioned it.

48. It's not a "Bomb", anymore.. okay? It's an "Improvised Explosive Device"
or "I.E.D." for short (not to be confused with the I.U.D., soon to also be classified as a concealed murder weapon once Alito is confirmed to the Supreme Court)

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/local/13586722.htm

Got it? "Bomb" implies homegrown cranks, loonies, idiots, inexplicably well-armed miscreant teens. "IED" is War on Terror, baby. It's Iraq. It's scary bearded men in turbans that only Dubya's manly brush cutting skills can save us from.

Get with the program!

52. This particular Starbuck's is on Bush Street in SF,
a street I refuse to drive on because that's just the kind of sassy person I am.

The explosive device was found and defused in the bathroom. The apartment building on top of the Starbuck's was evacuated. However, city officials say they don't think it's political.

Bush Street? Please. That's some statement whether the perpetrator intended it or not.
