2. Amway is a money cult.
I'm glad we escaped with our lives.

3. They need to start running this as ads on tv
DeVos is running all these ads in the Detroit area about how much he fixed up Grand Rapids.

1. He was not nor ever was mayor of Grand Rapids. He was not a councilperson nor did he hold any other office in the city. Bill Clinton is responsible for downtown Grand Rapids' rebuilding in the 90s, along with the city government at the time who knew how to couple the private development being done by guys like DeVos with the public funding they received from the Clinton Administration (Empowerment Zones). Grand Rapids never had one neighborhood, even it's worst, that is half as run-down as the average Detroit neighborhood. Their economy was strong in the 80s, when Reagan was president and the auto industry had it's first crisis, so the decline there was not of a quarter of a century's duration, like Detroit or Flint suffered.
2. I highly doubt he's going to use his corporate or personal money to improve Detroit or Flint, like he did in his home town of GR.
3. He is a christian dominionist. He would like to cram his version of christianity down everyone's throat, and make us pay for their damn schools with our tax dollars. Even Engler wouldn't back that mess.

4. Good video--now they just need to show how crazy he is.
His wife is totally nuts, and he's not far behind. He may sound normal, but he and his wife are far from it. I just hope our state realizes that before it's too late.
