Edited on Mon Apr-03-06 01:53 PM by Up2Late
And the most shocking part, Fox "news" did NOT! Somebody at Fox must have been sleeping on the job, or thought that a live shot helicopter shot of a construction sight crane collapse, was more important. :wtf:

ALSO! CNN didn't show the actual pitch! They stayed on a tight single of Bush throwing it, they didn't go to a wide shot so that we could see if the ball made it to the plate, bounced, was high, whatever. Looks like they are going to re-edit the shot later to make it look better.

God, I really hate what the Cable "news" has become.

The footage is ususally reserved for the eleven o'clock news--they went LIVE???

And why didn't George do this during the season's first game yesterday--was he THAT scared of being booed?

At any rate, let Jon Stewart know--sending up the cable news channels is one of his favorite pastimes! This would be good for Carlos Mencia's "Why The !!%#%@# Is This News?" segment.

10. They not only went live, they went live at LEAST 10 minutes before...
...and both CNN and CNN/HLN had a "Live" shot of him waiting in the dugout! then a bunch of grip and grins, then the pitch! I had the sound off, so I can't say what stupid stuff they were saying about him (or if there was booing).

I'm not absolutely sure (I was flipping channels) but I think MSNBC might have been "in commercial" when he actually did throw it.

Oh, and why did he do it today? Silly question, * doesn't work weekends, I think he thinks it's one of the perks of the job.

11. But did you hear the CNN anchor describe the pitch????
He said, "High and tight, strike one!"

I swear.... I rewound the Tivo and that's what he said... of course I couldn't see the pitch; nobody watching CNN could see where it landed.

Who will be the Truthseeker who will tell us what really happened with that pitch? :-)

21. And WHY did I just happen to see this? Because I heard a C-5 crashed!!!
In DELAWARE! At Dover Air Force base! But guess what? THEY ARE NOT COVERING THAT! :banghead:

More evidence of "media complicity,"

2:00pm, the U.S. media has "moved on," I tuned in to see what had happened, and they are NOT covering this "good news" (everyone survived!) <http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x2204031>

<http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/03/c5.crash/index.html>

I bet if it was a French Jet that crashed (think Toronto "Miracle on the Runway"), I bet they would be covering it.

22. CNN/HLN just showed another shot that they found! (since they missed it)
It looked High and outside to me.

Also, it had enough arch on it to qualify for Girls "Slow-pitch" Softball, but it didn't bounce.

Too bad Wade Boggs wasn't at the plate with a bat. He was notorius for hitting the ball right back to the box.
