CNN injecting "power of prayer" into standard newscasts that
are not stories about any one particular religion.

Did I miss the memo on the merging of CNN and the 700 Club?

This whole fundie thing is getting scary. It's like 1930 Germany here.

2. We've been noticing the same thing on other channels
Have you seen how many 'science of the bible' shows are on the History Channel nowdays? Wouldn't be so bad if they actually used science, but they bring the likes of Dobson and LaHaye on as 'experts'. Seems like most days of the week now, there's at least one or two bible-related shows on the various history channels, some nights 3-4 hours back to back..

5. I saw a program on CNN about "evolution vs. I.D."
The person that they had covering the issue was called a "faith and values correspondent". There was no science correspondent anywhere in sight, though they were covering scientific issues and interviewing people like Niles Eldridge. It was a very creepy experience. That's why I've pretty much stopped watching TV. I know it will creep me out, and I'm getting tired of it.

6. even on the shopping channels
they talk about how you can wear their clothing ' to church '. i never used to hear that before. and the abundance of crosses in their jewelry!

i try to say that it's a fashion fad, but i think there is major catering to the rw.

in my local rag there is an entire article about how the fundies are weighing in on Brokeback Mountain.

everything must pass muster w/ the rw.
