in the Plamegate investigation, has the time finally come for him to expand his investigation?

There are a number of investigations going on around the country that involve Bush and the leadership of the Republican Party. It is time for all of these investigations to combine because they are all inter-related anyway. This scandal is now a lot bigger then just outing an CIA agent. It involves the entire Republican political machine and their total disregard for the rule of law, especially after they took control of the WH and Congress. The abuse of power and corruption is of enormous proportions at this point. Now the time has come to prove that democracy works and that no one in a democracy is above the law. Not even the President.

1. I'm sure Fitz will look for links between all the different

investigations, but if tthere is no direct link, he won't try to expand his reach, and I doubt you really want him to.

Don't you realize how much more difficult life is for the accused when the same person has to deal with multiple investigations/indictments at the same time? They are constantly inundated with questions, subpoenas, and meetings with attorneys...a group of them for EACH case!

Besides, as much as we like Fitz, his plate is very full already!

discovers a direct link between his case and some of the other crap.

3. Ken Starr did

Ken Starr started out investigating a failed land deal and ended up in every aspect of the Clinton's lives. Not that this was right mind you, but the Repugs allowed Starr free reign, I don't see why, especially if there is an ample amount of valid reasons this time, for Fitzgerald to begin to expand the Plame investigation.

4. Let him nail this one down.

Starr was a horses butt. Lets make sure that the person that gets this case is honest. Write your reps and sens.

5. Patrick Fitzgerald is not Kenneth Starr

Kenneth Starr wasn't effective. He didn't "win". For our $70 million, we got a stained blue dress and a report that reads like government sponsored porn. His attempt to take down the Clintons made them more popular by the public's belief that they received a raw deal.

The * administration is now dealing with a different animal. He's brilliant, he's driven, he's tireless, he has no fear of going after those who are in high places, and he doesn't play to the cameras, unlike the aforementioned Starr. We've got the sure thing this time.
