Poll question: Reagan Assasination attempt. Lone Gunman? Conspiracy? Poppy?
Poppy and his pre-PNAC cohorts may have used this as a warning to St. Ronnie. :tinfoilhat:

Your thoughts and theories.

Too bad he didn't warn the feds BEFORE the shooting.

6. They were almost neighbours
The Hinckleys and the Bushes were very close...

John Judge November 2000 Interview - Part II

(...) The two families lived close to each other. They knew each other socially and financially. When the Hinkley oil company started to fail in the sixties, Bush's Zapata Oil financially bailed out Hinkley's company. It went from being Vanderbilt Oil to Vanderbilt Energy or Vanderbilt Resources in the 60s after Bush intervened. The Hinkleys had been running an operation with six dead wells but then they were making several million dollars a year after the Bush bailout. I always thought this was some sort of a money- pass front where they were laundering money through on this phony oil operation but actually operating some type of an intelligence pay-off.

The father in that family, John W. Hinkley Sr., was also the president of the board for World Vision. World Vision is a far-right evangelical missionary operation that does missionary and "good work" operations in countries where there is a political purpose for it to be there. From it's inception, it was rabidly anti-Communist and it focused on refugee populations of people running from countries that had been taken over by Communism. This was from the fifties on.

World Vision had a hand in the movement of the Cubans into the United States and other refugees of revolutionary regimes. When you're a refugee you're cut loose, basically, and pretty much fair game to be manipulated by whoever is willing to give you a hand because you don't have a home or any place to stay and somebody has got to accept you.

World Vision was able to recruit out of these mercenary populations, people who could be politically turned to their intelligence purposes. World Vision served as a penetration force -- not as visible as the military actually going in or the CIA going in -- going in as missionaries and working among the people. (...)

14. WOW! From your link, Mark David Chapman worked for World Vision.
Remember that scene in Six Degrees of Separation where Will Smith talks about both Chapman and Hinckley being avid fans of Catcher in the Rye? Here's more to add to that pile of coincidence:

World Vision was part of that scheme and they did some nasty things. They ran the refugee camp in Sabra-Shatilla where the fascist Phalange were allowed in to kill the Palestinians. Moe Dalitz, a Cleveland syndicate mobster, had building operations and construction stuff going on in Miami that the anti-Castro Cubans were hired to take part in. They meld them in -- and so they recruit from them, whoever they can.

They ran the Cuban and Thai refugee camps in the United States. Mark David Chapman -- who eventually shot John Lennon -- worked at the Thai refugee camps out in Arkansas that World Vision operated there. They ran these camps brutally, forcing people into political education against Castro, refusing to feed people, beating people -- by many reports -- and bringing in Alpha 66 and Omega 7 people (the worst of the killing teams -- or murder squads -- of the anti-Castro Cubans in the United States) to run the camps in Florida, Fort Chafey in Arkansas and other places where the Cuban exiles were. These people came in and there were eventually riots in the Cuban refugee camps against their treatment there. This according to legitimate refugee charity workers and organizations that I have spoken to.

16. Wolrd Vision is a very strange charity
Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 03:34 PM by DrDebug
It's involved in lots of dirty things. The irony is that most of the organization consists of people wanting to do charitable work and who are quite committed to it, but somehow it appears like their charity is a cover for dirty deals. I always find those things hard because they are using many good people on real refugee work and for the top is appears like that is a cover so they can do dirty work.

Yeah, what a surprise!

Major aid organisation quits Iraq

One of the few remaining aid agencies in Iraq is pulling out of the country.

World Vision announced it was ending operations, following the murder of its senior manager in Iraq, and attacks on other aid workers.

World Vision has been in Iraq for 18 months, and says it has helped about 600,000 people, by improving schools, hospitals, clinics, and water supplies.

Its Iraqi head of operations, Mohammed Hushiar, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in a crowded cafe in the northern city of Mosul on 29 September.

9. Another interesting tidbit...
WAPO this a.m. ran a timeline of events that day. At approximately 4:30 p.m., an hour before RR went into surgery, Richard Nixon placed a call to James Baker. I bet that conversation was VERRRY interesting, and I bet it didn't go something like, "geez Jim, I worried as hell about Ronnie, and I hope he's gonna be alright".

10. Hmmmmmm
Finally it's all coming together. Clearly it was Bush who tried to have Reagen wiped out. Given how evil Bush and his family is, it's really the only logical explanation.

For those of you who doubt this theory ask yourself the following questions.

1. Who would benefit if President Reagan had died?

2. Given their total lack of regard for human life, why would the BFEE refrain from rubbing out Ronnie?

3. Can you prove that Bush didn't have a hand in the Reagan assassination attempt?

17. Hmmmm...Oswald had a double, so did Hinckley!
Actually Oswald had several doubles, one from the Soviet Union, and then "fat Oswald" in Mexico City whose picture ended up in the evidence presented by the Warren Commission. But did you know Hinckley had a double named Edward Richardson?

Reagan, Hinckley and the "Bushy Knoll" Conspiracy

by Charles Overbeck
ParaScope Editor

snip

Hinckley's Evil Twin: Another Doppelganger

Every lone nut has a doppleganger. That's a law of nature, when it comes to assassination conspiracies. Hinckley's double was named Edward Richardson, who just happened to be a dead ringer for Hinckley himself.

Richardson traced Hinckley's path from Connecticut to Colorado, writing demented love letters to actress Jodie Foster, just like Hinckley. A week after Hinckley's infamous attack, Richardson was arrested in New York's Port Authority Bus Terminal with a .32 caliber revolver, after threatening the lives of both Reagan and Foster.

So both men were obsessed with the same actress from the same film. Both of them were intent on re-creating Travis Bickle's crazed assassination scheme from the movie Taxi Driver. They even looked a lot alike. What are the chances of two separate mentally unstable individuals, with so many exotic similarities, reaching critical mass at the same time?

Again, the whole scenario is a tremendous coincidence that makes the most outlandish conspiracy theory seem reasonable in comparison.

20. There may also have been a second gunman at the scene.
Poppy was probably hoping that old "triangulation of crossfire" would work again:

But there's more. NBC correspondent Judy Woodruff said that at least one shot was fired from the hotel, above Reagan's limousine. She later elaborated, saying a Secret Service agent had fired that shot from the hotel overhang. Could Reagan's wound have been inflicted by friendly fire? Or, more ominously, did Woodruff glimpse a bona fide "second gunman" - a la JFK in Dealey Plaza? Either way, Woodruff's account might explain how a slug managed to strike Reagan when his limo's bulletproof door stood between him and Hinckley. Sizing up the Hinckley-Bush nexus, conspiracy researcher John Judge has theoretically dubbed this "the shot from the Bushy knoll." According to conspiratologist Barbara Honegger, White House correspondent Sarah McClendon made the somewhat more subjective comment that Reagan's Secret Service retinue wasn't in its "usual tight formation" around Reagan in front of the Hilton. Were the Gipper's bodyguards out to throw the game?

Then there was Hinckley, himself. The Jodie Foster obsessed space cadet had been prescribed psychoactive drugs by a hometown psychiatrist. According to press reports, at the time of the shooting he was dosed with Valium. Before targeting Reagan (supposedly to gain the "fame" that would redeem him in the eyes of Foster and the world), Hinckley had stalked Senator Ted Kennedy and President Jimmy Carter. He devoured books on Sirhan Sirhan, Robert Kennedy's assassin (suspected by many conspiracy researchers to have been hypnotically programmed), and Arthur Bremer, who shot George Wallace. Theorists ask the inevitable questions: Was Hinckley a mind-controlled assassin, a Manchurian Candidate programmed to "terminate with extreme prejudice"? They point to the CIA's longtime obsession with mind control and the fact that during the 1980 presidential primaries, Bush - the former director of Central Intelligence - enjoyed the zealous support of Agency regulars, who preferred their former boss to Reagan.

21. Makes sense, because the Secret Service also got lost in Washington DC
Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 04:50 PM by DrDebug

When the President was shot, if you'll remember, he was pushed into the car by a man named Jerry Parr(sp?) that was his Secret Service guard. Jerry Parr fell on top of him and, I just saw in the Reader's Digest where Jerry Parr was telling his "valiant story." And the limousine tore off, didn't it? Now it was five minutes later that the ambulance arrived and they put the Secret Service man, the Washington, D.C. policeman, and Brady in the ambulance and it roared off. Using normal time-rate/distance, who should have arrived at George Washington University Hospital first? The President should have. Well, who did? You know it's a trick question. The ambulance arrived 15 minutes before the President. When asked, "What happened?" the Secret Service simply responded, "We got lost."

The Secret Service does not get lost in Washington, D.C. They don't get lost in most places of the world. And so, now the investigation starts to get a little interesting. When they take Ronald Reagan in, they can see that he... matter of fact, his heart almost stopped. And he is convulsing; there's blood on his lips. They know he's hurt... seriously. But they can find no wounds. They X-ray him three times and can find nothing.

Finally, a nurse notices a tiny entrance wound right at the seventh rib, underneath the armpit. And a doctor takes a probe, and by... very carefully, because they couldn't see it on X-ray, the doctor is able to extract what he said was a planchet, thinner than a dime, that was one-quarter inch from Ronald Reagan's aorta.

Now, Ronald Reagan says... as a matter of fact, let me just see if I can just read it to you... best what Ronnie says. I've got all this in the book... This came right out of a newspaper:

I knew I had been hurt, but I thought that I'd been hurt by the Secret Service man landing on me in the car. As it was, I must say it was the most paralyzing pain. I've described it as if someone hit you with a hammer. But the sensation, it seemed to me, came after I was in the car and so I thought that maybe his gun or something had broken a rib. I set up on the seat, and the pain wouldn't go away - and suddenly, I found I was coughing up blood.

22. It's possible it was the first time they got lost in DC since 11/22/63
4) Michael Kurtz, Crime of the Century: The Kennedy Assassination From a Historians Perspective (1982)

In his book, Best Evidence, Lifton asserted that an unidentified group of conspirators planned, executed, and concealed the assassination of President Kennedy. Even though the Zapruder film and certain other evidence indicated gunfire from the Grassy Knoll, the "best evidence" in the case and the evidence that would be given the most credence in a court of law was the official autopsy. Therefore, the conspirators altered the body of President Kennedy to make it appear he had been shot from behind.

To assure the success of their scheme, the plotters had to change the nature of the wounds on the body in order to make it appear that it contained only evidence of rear-entry wounds. The conspirators, therefore, carried out an elaborate plot of what Lifton calls "deception and disguise," a fantastic plot that entailed altering the body of John Kennedy.

From interviews with witnesses at Bethesda and from other sources, Lifton concludes that the body was removed from its bronze coffin while the presidential party was aboard Air Force One on the trip from Dallas to Washington. As the television cameras focused on the removal of the bronze coffin from the plane, the conspirators put the body in a helicopter and flew it to Bethesda. There they arranged various means, including two ambulances, to deceive the official party awaiting the arrival of the bronze coffin.

As this deception took place, the body was altered to give it the appearance of having been struck from the rear. The conspirators removed the brain and "reconstructed" the skull, eradicating all signs of the massive exit hole in the back of the head. They also placed small entrance holes in the upper back and in the rear of the head. When the actual autopsy was performed, the pathologists inspected a body that gave the appearance of being hit twice from behind.

28. Poppy may have CIA ties going back to one of their founding....
...organizations, the OSS. The OSS was formed during WWII as a clandestine U. S. intelligence group that performed missions during that war. IMHO, the story about him being a Navy fighter pilot is a cover story designed to hide his involvement with the OSS.

By the way, just prior to the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961, the CIA requisitioned a few landing craft from the Navy. The boats were repainted and renamed the "Barbara", and the "Houston".

There is also a photo that surfaced in recent years that shows a tall thin dark-haired man leaning against a wall in Dallas on November 22, 1963, with his hands in his pockets and his head slightly bent downward. If that's not Poppy, then it must be someone who looks exactly like him. Babs also let the cat of the bag recently when she stated that they were in Dallas that day. Previous to that time, Poppy always claimed he couldn't recall where he was that day...very odd when you consider that nearly every American living that day can tell you exactly where they were.
