IRAQ YEAR 4; "...a cakewalk... a cakewalk... a cakewalk... a cakewalk..."
Who coulda known...!

October 2005; "Iraq stability could take 10 years"
Iraqis may have to wait up to 10 years before their country becomes a stable democracy, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said.

“I am optimistic about Iraq, I think in 5 to 10 years we will see it becoming stable,”

Not bush & his cartel of rightwingnut idiots & stupid Americans...

"I believe demolishing Hussein's military power and liberating Iraq would be a cakewalk."
-Vice President Dick Cheney

"It could last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months."
– Donald Rumsfeld, 3/7/03

Who coulda known? Most the world. Including most the top US military brass and even my Gawd...REPUBLICANS. And they all tried to warned you rightwing idiots & stupid Americans...

"Stand tall and publicly tell the America people the truth about another bad war that could well lead to another died-in-vain black wall. Or even worse."
-Col. David Hackworth
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=29786

"Had we gone the invasion route, the United States could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land."
-President GHW Bush, 1998;
http://www.rense.com/general43/quote.htm

"Do we really want to occupy Iraq for the next 30 years? …In Japan, American occupation forces quickly became 50,000 friends. In Iraq, they would quickly become 50,000 terrorist targets…. Nations such as China can only view the prospect of an American military consumed for the next generation by the turmoil of the Middle East as a glorious windfall."
-James Webb, former Sec. of Navy under Ronald Reagan, Decorated Marine Veteran
http://www.sftt.org/article09302002a.html

"We are about to do something that will ignite a fuse in this region that we will rue the day we ever started."
-Marine Gen. Anthony Zinni, former Head of Central Command for U.S.
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2002/10/17/zinni

"A billion bitter enemies will rise out of this war."
- Wall Street Journal, January 13, 2003, Full page ad in Wall Street Journal by major GOP contributors
http://talkleft.com/new_archives/001444.html

"Right now, the course we're on, we're achieving Bin Laden's ends…. I've never seen it so bad between the office of the secretary of defense and the military. There's a significant majority believing this is a disaster.

The two parties whose interests have been advanced have been the Iranians and al-Qaeda. Bin Laden could argue with some cogency that our going into Iraq was the equivalent of the Germans in Stalingrad. They defeated themselves by pouring more in there. Tragic."
-Gen. William Odom, former head of the National Security Agency
http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/091704Y.shtml

"The idea that this is going to go the way these guys planned is ludicrous. There are no good options."
-General Joseph Hoare, the former marine commandant and head of US Central Command
http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/091704Y.shtml

"No, I don't think we're winning. We're in trouble, we're in deep trouble in Iraq."
-Republican senator Chuck Hagel, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee
http://www.iht.com/articles/539563.htm

”We have a stronger jihadi presence in Iraq today than in March 2003,” noted Roger Cressey, the former director for Transnational Threats in Bush's National Security Council at a briefing at the libertarian Cato Institute earlier this week.

3. We can give them links, we can jump up and down and shout
the facts into their blank, vapid faces, and their reply is invariable:

"Moonbat."

"Commie."

"Terrorist sympathizer."

"American-hating scum."

There is no reaching them with reason.

11. You can add
unpatriotic and treasonous to the list as well.....if reason and common sense were abundant, we wouldn't have that asshole in for a second term. It's all about power, money and total self involvement.

12. Right. But these are the same people
who complain about handouts and "welfare queens", but would expect some help from the government if they lost their jobs.

I worked with a young lady who voted for Bush in '04. She went off work for back surgery almost a year ago and has been unable to return. She, in my opinion, voted against her best interests, and so do many of the middle and lower class workers.

But they do not see it that way.

13. Whenever a Repub says 'Noone could have imagined.' You
just know that trouble is near.

Noone could have imagined that terrorists would use airplanes as weapons. (Even after Kamakazis in WWII?) Noone could have imagined that New Orleans could be flooded. (When it is located under sea level and close to the ocean?) Noone could have imagined that Iraq would be anything other than a cakewalk. (Really? Noone?)

Clearly Repubs didn't get enough art and music in their schooling. Their ability to imaginate is that of a toddler.

K&R for the queen of caps and the purveyor of stats!

"Forget his LIES...just how STUPID do ya really gotta be to allow such a total IDIOT remain in office? Answer; stupid as a rightwingnut." Yep, it now all boils down to that.

I don't know why they call DeLay "The Hammer", it's LynnTheDem who nails 'em every damn time. (and uses a few extra 16-penny nails to make sure it holds!)
