The really sad thing about this is that some of his "prized possessions" that he corrupted himself over...were FAKES, and reproductions...
He's a crook, and apparently not a very discerning one at that :)

Corrupt congressman's loot sold for nearly $100,000 at auctionAssociated PressRANCHO DOMINGUEZ, Calif. -

The silver-plated candelabras went for $2,000. An armoire with beveled mirrors pulled in $4,000. And a marble-topped night stand was sold for $1,250.
Piece by piece, the furniture, rugs and home furnishings that were among the bribes defense contractors lavished on corrupt former Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham were auctioned by the government Thursday for $94,625.

An elaborately patterned, Oriental-style rug from Cunningham's former mansion brought in the most money, $10,000. A second one was purchased for $9,000. A French Provincial walnut armoire, with carved feet, was auctioned for $7,100.

But some furnishing from the congressman's household came cheaper - a reproduction wash stand was sold for $400. A leaded-glass lamp went for $850.

The money will be split by the Internal Revenue Service and the FBI.
The auction took place in a cavernous warehouse near Los Angeles, where Cunningham's household goods were displayed in three rows.

1. Randy Cunningham is a piss-poor example of a corrupt politician.

You know who is a good example of a corrupt politician? Those who never get caught because they're sophisticated enough to dance through the loopholes. Those are the real fine examples of corrupt politicians because they know how to "dance" with the law. It's the ones you never hear about who can inflict the most damage on a country.
