Voices from the UK: "Well, well, well. The penny's finally dropped."

It's true, there is no civil war in Iraq. You need people of the same country fighting each other for a civil war. In Iraq we have tiny green aliens causing all the ruckus. Darn aliens! Bush is a really smart guy, so he should know. Have I mentioned that the most 'powerful' nation in the world is run by an illiterate that was elected into office by even greater illiterates? Talk about irony... The world as we know it truly is coming to an end... Oh meteors, hurry up and smash us please!

=====

Your President Boosh is obviously suffering some sort of mental defect that induces cognitive dissonance. He is dangerous to earthlings and their home planet.

=====

the reason (bush NEEDS civil war in Iraq) --to divert iraqies from fighting coalition to each other and to drive fear ino iraq civilians just as he did to america after 9/11.

suspicious behaviour of american troops all night around the shrine before bombing makes Bush No. 1 suspect for it.

Bush needs iraq civil war to stick, yet his attempted are half - if not all - failed by shias to follow orders from Iraq not to kill sunnis openly.

======
Whe are people splitting hair over civil war or not civil war. The fact is it is a big mess, it will get worse and I hate to say I (and the rest of the world) told you so.

======

Who should I believe - an Iraqi with his finger on the pulse, or a die-hard member of the Blair government? Of course Mr Reid is going to say positive things to cover up the enormous mistake and mess-up made by his government. As does members of the Bush government, who all still naively state that Iraq is a better place than 3 yeasr ago. When 10's sometimes 100's of bodies from different religous groups are found daily, brutally murdered simply because of their faith, what else do you call it apart from Civil War?

======

Well, well, well. The penny's finally dropped. We caused chaos and unforgivable bloodshed in another country. Whether things finally settle down and improve in Iraq is now irrelevant. It will all have come at too high a price. The truth is, Saddam had that country well under control and its various factions functioning together adequately. We spent billions shattering Iraq's fragile peace. And meanwhile, in our own country, children can't get abscesses treated because of the scarcity of dentists, and pensioners die in poverty and squalor.

1. Wonder where they got the information of US troops around the shrine?
They are first on my list, but the only news item I saw was that there were suspucious men dressed in black in the shrine for a couple of hours. Anyone know of other reports? Come to think of it, no one has been arrested for the shrine destruction either. If it was Muslims hanging around for hours, one would think someone would know who they are.

2. We don't look so peachy from the other side of the pond.
We've been told for years that our workmanship is less than acceptable because we have an uneducated work force; and now the people who generally make those statements (Republicans) have been fingered as the illiterates.
