What if Microsoft designed the packaging for the iPod? (Video)
Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 12:23 AM by onehandle
A rogue band of Microsoft's internal staff made this video showing how Redmond's marketing would "clutter" the pristine iPod box. After the clip was "accidently" released, Microsoft feigned laughter and said. "it's natural to share funny things with friends."

Considering how Microsoft employees routinely have to hide or disguise their iPods on the Redmond campus, I suspect some skin was collected for this slip in discipline.

3. They did design a car
but it had too many flaws. Viruses kept making the crash dummies sick. Test drivers were always getting pulled over for "illegal operations". Strange bugs hid in the trunk and kept attacking the occupants. You had to figure out the right combination of opening and closing windows just to get out of the damn thing. It crashed so much, the crash dummies finally went on strike.

4. It's a little more than "hide or disguise"
>Considering how Microsoft employees routinely have to hide or disguise their iPods on the Redmond campus<

One of my friends is pretty far up the food chain at the Evil Empire. According to her, Microsoft employees have been told that iPods will not be used on Microsoft property, and those caught using them are subject to unpleasant career repercussions.

Just sayin'.

5. I have a friend who has been contracting up there for several years.
He was not aware of the situation and walked in with his iPod on his belt.

He got about 20 feet when a guy grabbed his shoulder and said, "Man, you gotta put that away."

My friend found out later that a contractor would be toasted if spotted by the wrong person. Employees are of course, harder to fire.

7. If MS built airplanes . . .
. . . they would travel at 10 times the speed of sound; use less than a dollar's worth of fuel per passenger; carry a nearly unlimited amount of weight; land and take off with no runway; have nearly zero pollution;

and crash every 30 minutes.
