A couple of odd things I heard on the Letterman-O'Reilly interview...
Just dont make a whole lot of sense.

First, the falafel master was saying something about a church in Kansas (?) that wanted to publically display the nativity scene, but the ACLU was demanding that they remove any and all references to Jesus.

Now what the hell was that? I mean, as a liberal and non-Christian, the nativity scene is one thing I associate with Christmas almost synonymously. And second, a nativity scene without any reference to Jesus? Is he fucking kidding? That would be like reading a porno magazine with the porno cut out of it. It's like drinking non alcoholic beer.

Second, about 60% of the interview he spent blasting Cindy Sheehan about her referring to the terrorists as "freedom fighters". A quote from George Carlin keeps popping in my head - "Well, if fire fighters fight fire and crime fighters fight crime, what do freedom fighters fight?"

Did anyone here disprove these things? Personally, I think the man is more full of shit than a sewage treatment plant.

1. O'Reilly is continuously proven to be full of shit
He probably just pulled both of those "outrages" out of his ass. This entire "war on Christmas" idiocy is the product of the religious assholes trying to raise money by pretending there is a controversy where there is none. Our town had a nice little nativity scene and I saw no ACLU lawyers parachuting down to stop the horror.

I think the Cindy Sheehan "quote" about freedom fighters has also been proven to be a bald faced shithead lie.

2. The nativity scene thing is a proven lie
And according to Cindy Sheehan, she never talked to the jerk about any freedom fighters. She should sue his ass.

4. That bald* headed, asswipe on Imus said yesterday that O'Falafel
"wiped" the floor with Letterman. Honestly, that O'Falafel beat Letterman all over the set when he was on the show. Imus, whom I'm assuming didn't see the show, agree with this dumbass repug. Made some snarky comment about Letterman (nothing unusual about that - that is the only kind of comments Imus makes anymore) but agreed with the guy. Charles is a renown repug (he was humping for Bush back before the election) so, of course, he didn't set the record straight. I wanted to call the bunch and ask them if O'Falafel came out so good why did he spend half his program whining about Letterman (I hear, I don't watch him.)

* Not disparaging bald guys, or bald people, I just don't remember his name - he just always spews hateful, stupid, tacky comments and he has no hair.

3. He Comes Off Like a Complete Nutcase
So does Ann Coulter. I don't know why people even want to associate themselves with them. They need the mental hospital, not attention.

5. If the nativity scene is on church property I doubt the ACLU would give a
rat's furry backside. If the church wanted it on public property the ACLU might get hinky but from what I've seen it's only if other religious symbols were not allowed. This is usually the fight ACLU has with towns/public schools who put up nativity scenes on public property but won't allow other religions/spiritual paths such as a Star of David... a Pagan pentacle, etc.

The difference is between private property and public since there's the issue of "church and state". The court ruling on a public property display fight resulted in what I believe is called the "one reindeer rule".

So basically, without having heard the show, it sounds like O'Reilly is full of horsepuckey as usual.

6. What do you tell your children, about people who may hang out...
down at the old natitivy scene?

Sex with sheep used in nativity scene

Charleston, WV (US)
Date: Dec 2002
Disposition: Convicted

Abuser/Suspect: Joey Armstrong

A man accused of having sex with a sheep used in a Charleston nativity scene has struck a deal with Kanawha County prosecutors that allowed him to stay out of jail.

Joey Armstrong, 30, will serve two years of probation and be required to get some mental health care for breaking into a funeral home's manger scene and molesting an animal, according to court documents and his lawyer, public defender Stephen Kenney.

The deal, inked last month with little fanfare, will give Armstrong a chance to begin piecing together his life, Kenney said. He said his client was shaken up after his December 2002 arrest on charges of cruelty to animals, trespassing and destruction of property. More.........

7. The ACLU would never prevent a church from displaying
a nativity scene on its own property. Fox News types like to make up stuff like this to make the ACLU look bad.

9. Yeah, because the ACLU is their sworn enemy, right?
Except when they need them to protect and defend their asses for freedom of speech issues!

10. He didn't say church he said library
Obviously there is no separation of church and church. The ACLU, if the story is even true of course, would be involved with a nativity scene on public property but not a church. The other stories he cited were previously and publically debunked but that never stops him from repeating them. He is a despicable creature.
