Anyone see CNN's Cover of the 100,000 protestors
They showed the video and said approx. 100,000 turned out to protest Bush's arrival and then they went to a guy from CNN International in India and asked him if this was really that big of deal. To this question he responded with something like, "Well in a country of 1.2 billion people 100,000 isn't that many. In fact in a recent poll 66% of Indians actually say they love America." I was stunned, I sat there speechless for several minutes not believing what I was seeing, from Fox I understand but CNN?? I guess some would argue there's no difference.

I mean think about it, a leader getting calls for his death and being burned in effigy by tens of thousands in the streets, and it's JUST 100,000? And I don't doubt they love america, but probably hate Bush, what about that CNN?

BTW, the effigy burning was shown up close. They usually don't do that. The crowd really hates Bush. A lot. There was a huge stage and everthing. It looked like a very organized protest.

2. You know, I love America too
and there is no reasly why 66% of India shouldn't love America.

But I separate my love for America from the idiots that run the country.

5. Just like a few thousand showed up in DC or NYC to protest the war
And they were all raggety nut jobs on the left.

MSM has no clue what dissent is.

8. Loving America isn't the same as loving that moronic simpleton!
I love America too, but you won't see me saddling up to Georgie to plant a big ol' kiss on him. Maybe spit on him, yes, but no lovin'!

10. OK, do the math.
If 25,000 rose up in any American city to protest Shrub's arrival, would that be big news? Hell yes. 25,000 is a heck of job of gathering protesters, outside of DC.

if we have 300 million, and India has 1.2 billion, that math makes sense.

I love how CNN changed the issue re: Bush feelings and how Indians think about Americans. Those are very separate issues.

12. So by CNN's "reasoning," The Chimp must have ZERO "political capital."
After all, in 2004, he only got 3 million more popular votes. So, per CNN's line of "thinking," in a country of nearly 300 million, 3 million isn't that many!

And this doesn't even get into the 2000 power grab. :grr:

14. 66% may love America that doesn't mean they love our president
what a jackass comment. 100,000 is a very potent number. Bush is the most hated man in the world.

16. Is chicken little still going to Pakistan too?
Or did they cancel that. I'd expect even more volatile crowds there, even with security. Isn't Afghanistan such a great example democracy that they had to keep the visit secret from the public? :nuke:
