......meanwhile in Baghdad....Civil War?
Today this is all I'm hearing on the news today.....'on the brink' 'near' 'rapidly deteriorating' 'close to'...which must mean civil war is already in full force.

3. I agree, but this country has never recognized that.
They are probably hoping we would re-install Saddam.

2. They were quick to set up a series of "benchmarks" that define
when a civil war is in progress. Guess what? None of their benchmarks have been met! Thus, no civil war, surprised?

no...

Global Warming isn't real. It hasn't been proven that Global Warming is caused by human activities

Frivolous Lawsuits are to blame for out of control Health care costs and the problem of uninsured Americans

Outsourcing creates jobs in America

Most things the * Admin says go against common sense yet the noise machine convinces Americans that there is actually a debate on some of these issues and the good "Rs" fall in line and argue the completely illogical side of an issue.....

Drives me crazy.

4. Bushie, you're doing a helluva job!
What a disaster. Thanks to GWB and his criminal friends we now have a inferno instead of the neo-con's phony "democracy".
The house of cards is finally falling down.

10. I think people are obviously angry
but I've always felt that the government have always wanted a civil war in iraq now that they have blown up the mosque they are really trying to force it I wouldn't put it past the propagandists to exaggerate whats really going on there, they really went into overdrive during katrina.

6. Damn right ,
they dont want to see the fruits of their insane decisions so theyll pretend it isnt happening. Its not deniable. Its a full blown religious war and we warned them that this is exactly what would happen. Nah, they said. Once we go in itll be a cakewalk. Theyll welcome us with open arms. They have been wrong about everything they claimed. Everything.

This is the end of American greatness for the next few decades(if not longer) and we got that braindead gop party to thank for it. We no longer have the trust or respect of the World, thanks to the GOP and its King.

I say its time to get serious about having a country where they are not included. Its the only way.

13. Bill Press: Civil War in Iraq
Bill Press
Thu Feb 23, 11:20 AM ET

It's no surprise that Iraq's on the verge of civil war.

The only surprise is: it's happening sooner, rather than later.

We all knew it was only a matter of time.

Iraq was never one nation. It was always three nations - Kurdish, Sunni, and Shiite - forced together and held together only by the heavy hand of Saddam Hussein. Much like the former Yugoslavia was held together only by the iron rule of Tito.

Once Tito was gone, Yugoslavia fell apart - with Croats, Serbs, and Bosnians going their separate ways.

Just like, once Saddam Hussein was gone, it was bound to happen that Kurds, Shiites, and Sunnis would go their separate ways and form three independent countries: Shiites in the south, Sunnis in the middle, and Kurds in the north.

The only question used to be: Would it happen before the United States pulled out? Or soon after?

Now we know. It's going to happen, whether we're there or not. And sooner we think.

Which raises a new question: Now that we know that the inevitable outcome of the war in Iraq is a Shiite country, a Sunni country, and a Kurdish country - What's the point of staying in Iraq any longer?

Clearly, there is none. We shouldn't waste one more day trying to hold together something that's already splitting in three, anyway. We might as well bring all our troops home now - before they get caught in the crossfire of Iraq's civil war.

One thing for sure. This makes the war in Iraq look all the more unnecessary and unwise.

Helping Iraq break up into three separate countries was not worth sending our sons and daughters to die for. http://news.yahoo.com/s/huffpost/20060223/cm_huffpost/016215
